Georgia pilots
Self-testing enables staff at Education and Healthcare centers to protect their peers, families and vulnerable populations
FIND partnered with the NCDC to introduce Self-Testing as part of the mandatory national testing program
The key gaps that were identified and addressed through the pilots included:
- Limited awareness about CV19 testing and Self-Testing.
- Lack of reporting systems for CV19 ST.
- Skepticism that people would report their results, especially if the result was negative.
- Limited access to testing, especially in remote locations.
- Need for frequent testing of high-risk essential personnel, including school and healthcare center staff created an extra burden on the health system.
- Lack of CV19 Self-Testing public policy and evidence to inform it.
